Today we had our Communication is a virus presentation, and to be honest I was slightly nervous about what the response to our presentation would be, however as we had decided the video will be the main outcome we decided to approach the presentation from a different angle, considering the feedback we got on Friday we new we needed to communicate our concept in a clearer way. We organised our selves and divided the presenting between us which gave us more structure to the presentation.
I think it worked, we went up there evaluating the past 2 weeks as well as explaining the areas that went wrong and the ones that went right. Discussing what we would do differently , how we could increase the scale of our product to create a larger impact, and we seemed to get a respectful response from it.
As we were still a little disheartened about the disappointments last week, we got some really quite positive comments post presentation, many people commented that they understood the message clearly after watching the video, but also agreed that we could have gone about it in a different way.
Everybody like the public interaction aspect of the product, it was also suggested that maybe we should get video responses and interviews from people using the box.
Amber said after the crit that after all even though the product we produced was maybe not as successful as it could have been, it is a positive that we have learnt from our mistakes and analysed what and why things went wrong.
